ASGO hosts 1st Teen Social & Employment Skills Training at
Walmart on Turkey Lake Road. The kids participated in a reverse scavenger
hunt whereupon they had to restock the items found in the shopping cart.
Once done, they were paid for their work and were allowed to spend their
money at Walmart. We then enjoyed a group dinner at McDonalds.

GOAMPI and ASGO partnered for a fun and relaxing putt putt
tournament at Hawaiian Rumble on International Drive. Five individuals with
autism worked the event by selling raffle tickets, handing out putters, and
golf balls. The individuals with autism worked on their employability
skills while raising autism awareness and funds for ASGO.

November 1, 2008 Christmas Wishes begins. This is a program where families who need assistance during the holidays can request it. Member families and community supporters help meet the needs.
November 21 & 22, 2008 Adventures in Autism 4 at Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure. This event begins Friday, 11/21/2008 with a kick off party and continues on 11/22 with a trip to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.
December 19, 2008 ASGO Holiday Party at Sliderz Adventure Center. Kids have fun bouncing on moon bouncers, sliding down big slides, and celebrating among friends. Snacks & presents provided.
February 20, 2009 Law Enforcement & First Responder Training on Autism.
